RMSS MEETING MINUTES

FEBRUARY 18, 2026

The meeting was called to order at 12:15pm. We held the meeting at one of our sponsors. Charlie's Pub and Eatery. League Coordinator Randy S.presided.  In Attendance:  Bill G. Dennis E. Bill K. Deb W. Willis G. Bill VW. Mike E.

Secretary Report.  Bill VW.   Minutes were reviewed and approved.

Treasurer Report.  Dennis E.  Checking Account Balance $4721.48 Designated Fund Balance $784.32

Much discussion regarding the management of the three different checking accounts, Summer, Designated & Dome. Dennis will still manage the first two, And Bill B. will manage the dome account.  At the end of the year, we will file only one report for the State and Federal requirements

Bill G. reported that he has purchased 8 new bats. (2 per field).  They were over budget but we will make some adjustments.  They hopefully will last more than a season.   He has not ordered the balls yet.  They cost $7.50 each.  Because they are sturdy and expensive we will only use one new one per week.

No Website Report. Joe had told Randy that things are up to date.

Rules and Safety Report  Willis G.    We are still working on many issues.  Player voting eligibility, Player conduct, Throwing bats, Throwing gloves, Proper attire, player ability checks for safety concerns, when or not it is legal to slide, and others. When finally approved, we will make sure they are Consistently Implemented,

This is a very arduous task. We are doing our best to finish this chore as quickly and properly as we can.

All in an effort to make them clear, concise, fair to all.

Randy reported on the Dome status.  Randy's letter that he shared and many of us forwarded to our City Council Members, appears to be having a little impact.  It is very possible we will have the Dome for the 2026-2027 season.

Much discussion on the use of equipment paid for by summer league players being used by Dome ball players. We are considering increasing dome ball fees by one dollar per day.  There will be more discussion on this. We will most likely make that decision next fall.

We assigned board members to get the sponsorship monies collected.

Melissa D. reported to Randy that She will have Twins tickets available this season.

Early Registration Date is April 20th.

Next Board Meeting will be on Wednesday March 18th soon after the games. About 12:15pm. We may be having the meeting at the American Legion.
